Bally Gaming and Systems announces largest New York Lottery video gaming progressive jackpot.
Bally Gaming and Systems, a
business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. recently announced that a
lucky winner has hit the largest New York Lottery video gaming progressive
jackpot ever, winning $195,700.25 on a Jackpot Celebration(TM) Bally/SDG video
gaming machine at Saratoga Gaming & Raceway in Saratoga Springs on Friday,
Oct. 28.
Patty Galvin of Schenectady, N.Y., played the maximum bet of 45 coins on
the nickel Jackpot Celebration to hit the top award. "I knew right away that
I had won", Galvin said. "I saw those symbols all lined up and I just knew".
"We are very pleased to have a progressive jackpot of this magnitude and
that we can award it to one of our valued patrons", said Jamie Hartman,
Saratoga Gaming and Raceway General Manager. "We continue to provide our
guests with the best service, prizes, and state-of-the-art games in the
industry and with our progressive games being relatively new to our facility,
this is remarkable", Hartman added.
"I am thrilled that the largest progressive jackpot ever won at a New York
Video Gaming facility occurred right here at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on
Friday", said Nancy Palumbo, director of the New York State Lottery. "Just
over four months ago, we introduced progressives here in New York State and
our patrons truly enjoy the fun and excitement that the bigger jackpots
create".
"Since the inception of video gaming in New York State, over $25 million
in additional revenue has been raised for education", Palumbo said.
The jackpot further solidifies Bally's status as the premier progressive
provider to New York Lottery locations as well as the overall market share
leader with approximately 51 percent of the total machines in the state. Bally
currently has more than 100 progressive machines in the market covering all
five operational tracks and six separate titles -- Wall Street Winners(TM),
New York Gold(TM), Stars and Stripes(TM), Jackpot Celebration, Simple
Winner(TM) and 777 Jackpot(TM). Wall Street Winners and New York Gold are the
first and only 25-cent and $1 progressives in the market. Future titles
planned for the market include a 1-cent progressive game and the Copper
Dropper(TM) and Good Cents(TM) titles.
The jackpot at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway followed a previous progressive
hit of $51,694.75 on a Bally machine at Mighty M Gaming and Raceway in
Monticello on Oct. 20.
Saratoga Gaming & Raceway and Bally also recently concluded their first
video gaming machine tournament in the New York Lottery market, with Bally
providing special tournament software on its New York Gold game. More than
300 Saratoga players competed in the multi-week tournament.
